Terms of Use

The service
Atlas is a free reference for Windows process behavior, operated by Exfiltrace. These terms cover the website at atlas.exfiltrace.com and the JSON data it serves. By using either, you agree to them.
License
Atlas is open source. The application code and the curated dataset are licensed under the Apache License 2.0. You may use, copy, modify, and redistribute both, including commercially, provided you follow the license terms: keep the license text and attribution notices intact.
Third-party content
Profiles cite their sources. Quoted or derived material from those sources remains under the source's own terms:
- Command examples derived from the LOLBAS project are covered by its GPL-3.0 license.
- Technique references link to MITRE ATT&CK, a registered trademark of The MITRE Corporation.
- Microsoft product names and documentation belong to Microsoft.
Atlas is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these projects or companies.
The API
The JSON endpoints under /v1 are static files, free to use without registration or an API key. They are served best effort, with no uptime guarantee or SLA.
Accuracy
Atlas is reference material, provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Records are curated by people and can be incomplete or out of date. Verify against your own telemetry and the cited sources before relying on a record.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Exfiltrace and the project contributors are not liable for any damages arising from use of the site or its data. For the licensed code and dataset, the Apache-2.0 disclaimer of warranty and limitation of liability apply.
Names and logos
The Atlas and Exfiltrace names and logos identify the project and its operator. The Apache-2.0 license does not grant trademark rights to them.
Changes
These terms may change. The current version is always on this page, and its full history is in the project's public Git history.
